This poem is dedicated to all the men across the world, who are our superheroes and protectors.
Dear Brother,
I want you to know that you are more than the weight you carry
That you are more than your heavy thoughts and burdens
I see you in the dark when you feel like no one’s looking
How you hide your muffled cries and tear soaked pillows
I see you when you step out into the sunlight
I see how you stand tall and bright
How storms only manage to bend but never break you
How you’re never caught looking blue
I want you to know that there is strength in your laughter
And oceans hidden behind your eyes
You were taught that mountains don’t weep
But I see the rivers you’ve carved through stone
You are the father who teaches love through presence
The brother who shows up when darkness falls
The friend whose loyalty runs deeper than blood
The man who leads not by force, but by example
Your heart beats with the rhythm of warriors
Not of those who conquer, but of those who protect
Not of those who pillage, but of those who uplift
Your crown is forged in honesty, love and compassion
So stand tall, my brother
Not because you bear it all
But because you know when to rise
And when to kneel
So, my dear brothers
I want you to know that your strength is wrapped in gentleness
Your fire is one of warmth and kindness
You are a king who rules with wisdom
And one who loves with the fury of the sun
